UNBRIDLED POWER OF ‘THE LOBBY’
Many people have become blasé about the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Few even know the full extent of the Israeli genocide being perpe trated against the Palestinians, and many believe the lies told about the October 7 Hamas attack, which have been used to justify the whole sale destruction of Gaza and large parts of Lebanon and Syria. Worse still, many in the West also believe that the wars in the Middle East have little or nothing to do with the United States or Europe, and that the decades-long conflict is somehow endemic to its inhabitants, without any readily discernible cause.
A large portion of this issue of TBR will clear the air on the conflict in the Middle East and will map out the issues at stake. At the core of it all is the power of the Jewish lobby, that elite group that dominates the political process of the United States and Europe. This lobby’s control of the domestic and foreign politics of the West ensures that Israel is always favored, even when the Zionist state has committed, and continues to perpetrate, what is unquestionably the most public and blatant genocide of the late-20th century and now the 21st century. This issue we provide an over view of how Palestine and the Palestinians came into existence; how the aggressive rise of Islam sparked the Crusades and led to the “conversion” of the entire Levant to the Muslim faith; the truth behind the events of October 7, 2023; and, finally, how the United States of America has been harnessed by “the Lobby” since the end of World War II to physically support and financially sustain the state of Israel.
All of this has been done at the cost of thousands of American lives and over $4.5 trillion. The 2,000-year-long existence of Palestine—a fact now denied by the Zionists in their attempt to totally obliterate the Palestinian people—is an important lesson in historical truth and Zionist deception. The name of Palestine is based in the existence of an ancient European enemy of the biblical-era Jews, the Philistines. In fact, the earliest use of the name Palestine to describe the region and its inhabitants dates from Roman times. When the Roman Empire di vided into two, the eastern Roman provinces—which included the entire Middle East—fell under the control of the Eastern Roman Empire, and Eastern Orthodox Christianity. It then held sway in the Middle East for nearly 400 years, right up until the rise of Islam.
Invading Islamic armies, based out of present-day Saudi Arabia, swept through Christian Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, and, finally, into Anatolia, threatening Constantinople itself. In reaction to this invasion, Christian Europe sent armies to liberate the Christian lands. These counter-attacks became known as the Crusades, a term now often misused and misunderstood. Ulti mately, the underfunded and un dermanned Christian European counter-attacks were unsuccessful, and the entire Levant fell to Islam. Subjected to various Islamic rulers, the Palestinians were not spared the Islamification process. Ultimately, the majority were con verted to Islam (although a small minority remained Christian) and were temporarily submerged into what became known as the Otto man Empire.
The development of Zionism as a political movement among European Jewry then revived (stole) the name Palestine as a homeland for the Jews. Starting shortly after the first Zionist Con gress of 1897, international Jewry launched a concerted effort to col onize the region which they them selves called Palestine.
