TBR History Hour March 20, 2020 – Saint Patrick’s Day episode

TBR History Hour with Dr. Ed DeVries
In the first half of this week’s TBR Radio Presents: The TBR HistoryHour Dr. Ed finishes last week’s conversation with TBR executive editor Paul Angel. They discuss the March/April issue of The Barnes Review magazine.
In the second half of the show Dr. Ed shares the discovery by 17th century scholar and Church of England leader Dr. James Usher. Usher, respected and promoted to the leadership of Irish and English churches by James I, Charles I, and Oliver Cromwell declared Patrick to have been a Baptist missionary.
Patrick actually went to Ireland when he was kidnapped in a pirate raid and was made a slave to a tribal chief.
Rome could not conquer Ireland. But the Gospel did when preached by Patrick.
