Canonized in 2002, Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, better known as Padre Pio, was a Franciscan Capuchin priest who bore the five wounds of Jesus Christ on his body for more than 50 years. Padre Pio was also a seer, psychic, prophet, miracle-worker, confessor, mystic, ascetic and missionary on a worldwide scale.
