In this week’s edition of TBR Radio Presents: The Dixie Heritage Hour, Dr. Ed DeVries interviews Dixie Heritage subscriber and author Dr. Al Arnold. A life-long citizen of Mississippi, Al is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. His great-great grandfather was a slave to Nathan Bedford Forrest who voluntarily enlisted in the Confederate Army. In the hour-long interview Al tells the story of his ancestor and also of his personal journey to embrace his Confederate heritage. Also discussed are Al’s advocacy for the maintenance of Confederate-themed traditions at his Alma-Matter (Ole’ Miss) and his admiration for Generals Forrest and Lee.
